    I doesn't get any easier as they grow older. I thought my high school son was just being lazy and didn't want to go to school until his fever reached 102 and found out he had both strep and mono.

    My own mother made me wait two days in total pain while my appendix was about to burst. She thought I was trying to get out of some work.
